many thanks for the 25 wawwa members that supported the newport pantomine society today.
I am truly sorry that your support was thrown into ignorance by some of the cast with the complaints of 'you were to noisy' you boo'd to loud, you boo'd at all,oh im sorry, i thought i was in panto.
Andy(barny) and the dame said it was the best atmosphere ever,and i have to say,if you're going in panto(believe me,i did them for 8 years)you feed off the audiences responses as the dame and andy did so superbly well.
i know you all we=re saying the principal boy(tash)and the principal girl(kelly) were amazing, but for some reason somweone thought you guys boo'd them????WHAT??
you all were saying as i was stood at the end that they stole it,that they were amazing and that atsh sang brilliantly.
so tash if you read this,whoever said they boo'd was being very unfair,they loved you and all i heard was cheers and screams.
on a general note to the newport panto society,i am disgusted that anyone could complain about the level of noise coming from an audience at a panto,thank god,in a way,that you did have such a small audience as if you had sold out, god knows how you would have coped with 400 screaming booing kids,who TALK all the way thru panto as was many of the little kids around us today,many of them chitter chatting to the parents and asking why this,why that,ITS PANTO.
i am so angry and have put my thoughts in writing to senior offices of the comitee, we shall never support the panto group again,its a disgrace and this attitude is EVERYTHING i hate about theatre,more so,these kids gave up there day to SUPPORT you,so many of the cast LOVED the support,loved the atmosphere,it was panto,not shakespeare.
i truly hope for the sake of the people moaning that you dont sell out,cos god knows what would happen with that much noise. |
