How to get by....
To be perfectly honest, I LOVE my job! Its never boring thats for sure. And if you check out our webpage and see what kind of things we sell, you can imagine the interesting people we serve most! I tell you though, all in all, customer service can be a pretty thankless job. At home, people don't think your job is a "REAL" job since you sit down and are on the phone all the time and the paychecks rarely meet the standards we feel our time is worth, but when I leave, I am refreshed and happy with the day because I took some pretty difficult people and took them from irate and disgusted to apologetic and ecstatic. Besides, you have to be honest with yourself that sometimes people are SOOOO stupid that you can't help but smile and laugh. What other job are you going to work that strives to make you find more and more creative ways of telling people "I'm soo sorry you're a moron, but thats too bad....." LOL (Just for the record, we've never actually told people that, but you know thats the way you feel!) P.S. I have the most fantastic management field here. Too often in this type of job you end up with a burnt out rep as your manager. Its really helpful to have a smart and funny team lead and intelligent Service Manager who actually likes their jobs too. US CAVALRY ROCKS!!!!)
