Firstly, sorry for the huge delay in answering your query Anthony. I certainly don't use the same induction procedures when doing a past life regression with an individual, therefore its not quite the same as hypnosis but more akin to meditation. It is important that the patient establishes visual control in the first instance (Christos Experiment). I have not in my experience had an overwhelming case of distress during this procedure and if this was to happen I would NOT be suggesting that the person leave there state until it was resolved during the past life regression. There are ways of doing this by using positive suggestion, problem solving etc. Obviously this is a brief description, but I think it gives you the idea.
