I was a member of Co B --Hq's platoon (40th Sig Bn ) from 1952 --1955. (MOS 2039 -telephone Cable Splicer)
I heard many stories about the original unit and it's activities during my time in the unit .
First time I have ever seen a complete summary !
In the first half of the 50's we were stationed at the Rhine Kaserne (Gerszewski Barracks)-Karlsruhe area. (D company was in Baumholder)
Traveled all over Germany laying spiral four / constructing open wire and cable facilities --etc .
I'm currently restoring 3- M-37 (3/4 ton -Dodge Cargos)-<>
Will carry uit markings when completed .

Recently retired after a 50 year career in telecomm --40th experience helped a lot along the way !
