Painting canopies is an art form in it's self but you can make it easy on yourself. Ie I use Metal foil on mine, and stick this over the whole of the canopy. then rub down with a wooden stick till all the lines show clearly. once done, run a sharp knife round the edges and ieave the windows covered only using the frames. all you need to do then is paint. Some people use Tamiya masking tape to do this, but metal foil is thinner and therefore the lines are easier to see and cut up to.
