Message:		It might not be any good, but I thought I better post it anyway, just in case it is. I've got male friends who go back a long time as well, and I would feel exactly the same if any of them were in trouble. This might be a completly crp idea, but what about if you were to try explaining to your wfe again that you lve her very much, but that you care for this lady as a friend and nothing more, and ask if you can invite her round for tea while your wfe is there as well? I don't know if this idea is any good, it might just make things worse.
