Well the Internet has certainly blown the myth (for me, Norman Owen Tomalin) that the Tomalin??s were a very small ??tribe?? located in the south east of England. Growing up in Hillingdon, Middlesex -- my father (Gilbert Owen Tomalin) , his brother (Stanley Tomalin ?V Plymouth, Devon) my brother (Bernard Ernest Tomalin) and my sister (Yvonne Tomalin) were the only others I knew. There was a coal merchant (Tomalin) in circa Ruislip, Middlesex but we never did meet.
Before the Internet I used to scour Telephone Dddirectories in Hotels around the world on my travels. Usually they yielded no entry -- except that several appeared in Australia and they usually had just emigrated from the UK.
It might be of interest to Charles Tomalin that I also took up Nature Photography. I enjoyed the images that were posted. It would seem that the Tomalin??s have a somewhat artistic flair.
I enjoyed your web site too ?V something that I have been meaning to do you ages ?V I use the excuse of no time ?V rather like my own web site!
