Message:   I am 54 years of age. On March the 8Th 2006, I was admitted to Hospital. They rang me up at about 4 and I was in by 5 Luckilly I had a cancilation. Also it was my birthday. I had my Hip re-surfacing Op the next day. I was in theatre for about 2 hours. The Operation went well.I was on crutches for about 4 weeks. In May I joined my local Gym. I Use all the equipment, Treadmill Rower, Cross trainer. Free weights. Also I cycle a few times a week, I now have a full range of movement. Also I have gone back To my Kung Fu class, And I do Taichi. Life couldnt be better, The only bad thing. When the anaesthetic wore off My vission in my right eye wasnt normal, It was a little like looking through a cobweb. The eye specialist said I had had a blockage or a clot which had bled and damaged my eye. sadly they dont think it will get any better. But my left eye compensates for it so it dosent bother me too much. But the good thing is the hip is great. I always used to like jogging But i'm not sure if I should be doing any High impact work. Any Ideas would be helpfull. many thanks.Bruce
