Message:   My wife had a total hip replacement 20 months ago and is still in considerable pain. A recent second opinion from another surgeon indicates the problem is probably die to the fact that the prosthesis was installed approximately 2 cm further out from the body centerline than the original hip. How common is this problem and is revision total hip replacement surgery the only option? A soft copy of the X-ray is available for uploading. Please reply to edwolff43@gmail.com.
