I am a McGovern several times over. My mother was a McGovern and both of her parents were McGoverns. My mother's mother was Rose Anne McGovern (married to Stephen McGovern who is nicknamed Stephen Briney) and her father was Thomas McGovern (who was married to Rosie Dolan) and who was the man murdered in the article you have posted on the website. My grandmother was the 2nd oldest of his 5 children and she was 13 when he was killed.
