My name is Leslie McGovern, I presently live in WA state, but grew up and spent most of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area.
My father, William David McGovern, Jr., died just before the holidays. It is a great loss to us, especially that he died so alone.
I am trying very hard to locate my cousin, with whom I was last in contact a few years ago when she lived in Miami, Florida. Her name is Susan Weinstock, her mother's name was Eleanor McGovern, father's David Weinstock.
My father's family were primarily from New York city. A well-known, famous I understand, boxer by the name of Terry McGovern (Terrible Terry McGovern) was a cousin often talked about by my family.
My father always told me that all McGovern's were pretty much related, however distantly, so I am hoping to somehow locate and tell Susie, if at all possible, through the McGovern network.
