I am searching for the birth place of my GGrandfather Hugh McGovern b. 1823 in County Cavan and his brother Thomas b. 1824. There might also have been a brother John b. 1822. They came to America in 1845 and went to Ohio and then settled in WI in 1853. All three settled on farms near Waterloo, WI. I have recently learned that the town could have been Swanlinbar??
Any info would be most welcome after a 20 year search.
