CQMS Scott was the 'Q' at New Castle Training Depot when we, the 1st Batch of East Caribbean recruits arrived there in Feb 1959.
As CQMS he was often present at dinner time to see how the rations were being dished out and to observe the quality of the food.
Complaints to him by Parks, La Touche, Cato, Rossi etc. were always met with sympathy and an order to the cook house staff to add a little to their plate.
I'm sure I was also a beneficiary of his kindness.
Always well liked, it was a real pleasure to have had him at the Re-union in Trinidad 4 years ago.
