Just thinking out loud here but play along and give feed back and ideas.
There are two many tourneys and sanctioning bodies etc that to be a champ in this or that does not have the prestige it did before. So what if we created an independant team tourney. Maybe call it "The Pool Players Championship or TPPC"

2 Divisions, AA/Master & Open (if you have even 1 player who is on a AA or Master list or has placed in the money in A in the last year you must be in AA/Master. Period.)
5 PERSON Teams (gender does NOT matter in this repeat It does not matter if you are male or female, just shoot)
25 Game round robin format. No "spots".
Draw for placement or break it up in to pools depending on size of field
$500.00 per team entry (or more if you think) Stop whining, that is only $100.00 per player and if your team is creative enough you will find a sponser like a softball team has to to play in tourneys. Besides, we want it to mean something. I think it would be better or mean more to have 40 serious teams putting up $500.00 ( total of $20,000.00) each vs 150 slug teams putting up $135.00 each.
100 % payback or more if the hosting venue is willing to kick in some but they must for sure pay or provide the staff to run it. Players can not whine if somebody is being compensated for their time to keep it running.

I hear ya there. But it looks like they added 2 teams to our league and they changed the schedule accordding to the M8 website, we have Dean's team and you get Magnigicent 7. So you tonight, and no running off after winning a big hand in poker this time you punk!!
