You should add an events calander with everyone's tournament information on your site since it will never get updated here.

i can make a calendar but i need to know of what, i never saw the calendar at this site but i suppose i could go look at it, in the meen time be more specific.

I think what he's suggesting is that you use my site that I have many hours of labor and many dollars invested in to steal traffic from me to go to your site. Not a vey ethical thing to do. (or suggest)

I ony have one tournament to add to the calendar. Other than that ALL tournaments that have paid for advertising are posted.

Chairity events such as "Chalk Up for Kids" are not posted because I have not recieved any info about it. Otherwise it would be available.

As a matter of fact I have not been contacted by anyone to post any tournaments other than the guys up North.

If anyone wants to advertise tournaments they can contact me and I'll post the event but it seems like there's not much going on. Oh, except when people want to use my site for free.

I am in no way suggesting that he use your site to "steal" traffic from your site. I am merely suggesting that maybe it would be good for the pool community to know about upcoming events without someone worrying about getting paid for the advertising. (ACS, BCA, M-8, Six Arrows)

I am sorry that you feel that every suggestion that someone makes is an attempt to undermine you and attack your business. I would think just by promoting pool it would help your business being that you own a pool hall! Pool is on a decline right now and needs all the help it can get. I understand that you have an expense associated with the website and I can appreciate that, but this isn’t about you its about the sport.

How many tournaments have passed where there has been no mention of their existence in the last few months? I know that Two Stooges runs a 9-Ball tournament every month, but I've never seen that listed. I know that Joel runs some different tournaments, but I don’t see that information here. Also Shooter's runs their different tournaments every month, and yes they do have an ad on the homepage, but it never makes it to the tournament calendar. Does that cost them extra money? Does it cost you extra money to list it there?

You are never going to be able to make everyone happy; somebody is always going to feel as if they received the short end of the stick. All that I am suggesting is to think of the bigger picture and the fact that if pool support continues to decline, tournament entries continue to decline, and then the one who hurts in the end is the industry as a whole, the players, and the pool halls.

I wish you success in your business and wish nothing bad for it. I just hope that we can all be on the same page with wanting to promote the sport as a whole instead of making sure that we make a buck in the process. I think in the long run the grass is a lot greener.

lol calm down Dean. im not trying to steal people from your site. I would 100% agree with dean when he says he will add events if there are any because it would be more helpful on this site rather then mine. My site is mostly for signing up to fantasy pool and submitting points. and the forum on my site is for questions on my site. maybe my site will make you more customers? anyway thanks dean for making that clear.

No need to calm down I'm not upset. I think your fantasy pool idea is great and hope it catches on. I may even sign up. All I was responding to was the "suggestion" that you mirror this site using my traffic. Good luck.

i would contact dean if you would events posted. the only possible events i would have posted on mine are just the day the sign up for fantasy pool closes and opens. Dean you should sign up

There was some problems with the website about the forms not been able to be submitted, all problems with the website have been fixed you can now post. Remember, for questions use my forum and not this one so we don't have all this mess in here. Thanks Jason for using my Forum for asking questions.

Can you publish the final list of tournaments which you are including? It may help tournament participation as well.

And sorry, I don't think weekly tournaments should count, just bigger ones.

But I'm probably in the minority.

well being that theres lots of tournaments and i only hang out around shooters then that would be difficult, if you can find the dates then i will put them on my calendar. I need the dates, location.

dean is putting up the tours. on his calendar so thats good.

for those of you that joined fantasy pool you should watch your matches closely since today is friday everyones going to be at a pool hall.

I added a small calendar with a few things on it. Just a couple things though.

Just a suggestion here but I think it would be easier to only count a few major tournaments out of the year. Keeping track of who won/broke even/lost in money games is going to be nearly impossible. Where as if you just count say..5-10 tourny's throughout the year then this could be somewhat manageable.

Since I already started this It's a little to late to do that. Next Season It's a very good idea. Also It's the person that joins responsibility to be able to watch it. So far these people have been doing a great job. I'm going to try and find someone to help manage the website with me since It's a little difficult.

Tim, Would you please post these questions on YOUR site? I don' think I'm alone in that this is getting a little annoying. I am glad you have found something you enjoy but please use YOUR site for those types of questions about YOUR site.

well um lets see............. if i dont get people to go to my site to join... then i cant really ask questions to invisible people............. i tried to create something that was a fun thing to try but if no one cares about it then i can easily just delete my site easy as that.

Maybe you've found your answer, if nobody is joining your site to play than maybe nobody cares about it

this is what the problem is...
People go to my site to join Fantasy Pool. Once they join they can ask me questions at the site. The only reason this post is still up is because I havent had many people join. So how can i ask other people questions on my site if no body has even been to it?

Tim, I was referring to the questions regarding adding music to the site and things like that. If you want to over react then you go right ahead. I have no problem with you letting people know about your idea/web site. If you are not receiving the rush of members you expected then maybe that is telling you something. But before you start lashing out at people, take a deep breath and count to ten.

yea im sorry for getting upset. i think people were to confsued by this whole thing. i made a new fantasy post that tells everyone to ask questions on the site, and made it easier to play. no more worries. i want dean to lock or delete this topic.
