If you want to discuss shots, there is a really cool tool called a "Cue Table." It allows you to position balls on a table in order to set up shots. It requires a Macromedia Shockwave plug-in.

Hotel Update for Cancer Research Tournament....

I got some calls from pool players saying the Holiday Inn South was full. Well I called them and it is NOT full. Our block "CHK" was full. All it took was talking to the right person and this block has been expanded so another 20 rooms are now available under the pool tournament block. When you call the Holiday Inn South at 507-288-1844, please make sure you mention the pool tournament block "CHK" in order to get our special rate. This is gonna be a BIG EVENT, so please make sure you don't procrastinate on the room or you'll be driving or walking from another hotel and probably paying more.
As for signing up for the tournament: If you haven't mailed in your entry yet, wait to pay it on Friday night. We'll have mini-tournaments going starting at 5 p.m. and the mixed scotch doubles will start at 7 p.m., will entry fees being paid onsite for these events. The singles tournament will start on Saturday morning, but I'm cutting off the sign-up deadline for 9 p.m. on Friday night so I can draw up the charts and have them posted for the player's convenience. All times and table assignments will be posted by about 11 p.m. so players will know how late they can stay up and PARTY!!!! I'm anticipating close to 300 players and with about 40 tables, that means only 80 will play during each timeslot. So many of you will not play your first match til 11 a.m. or noon! That means more partying and more sleep (sleep is optional).
This week there's no need to call me unless you have a question about the event. Just be there by 9 p.m. to sign up and pay. Nobody will be on the charts unless they have paid. If you have any other questions, please feel free to call me - 507-210-7558. See you there..... Take Care. John Stich
