Owatonna Pool Player's Child Die in Car Accident

The son of Nick Skalicky, an Owatonna Master/AA player, died yesterday in a vehical related accident.

As a parent i can only imagine the grief they are feeling. I am so sorry.

OWATONNA — Funeral arrangements for a 2-year-old boy killed Sunday when he was struck by a car have been scheduled.

Mason S. Skalicky of Owatonna died at the Owatonna Hospital from injuries he sustained in the accident.

Police were called to the 900 block of Elm Avenue around 10 a.m. Officers and Steele County Sheriff’s deputies performed first aid at the scene.

Owatonna Police Capt. Eric Rethemeier said that an investigation into the incident should be finished Tuesday. Details about the accident are expected to be released today, Rethemeier said.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Associated Church. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Michaelson Funeral Home and an hour prior to services at the church.

That is very sad to hear. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I couldn't even imagine going through this!
