If you want to discuss shots, there is a really cool tool called a "Cue Table." It allows you to position balls on a table in order to set up shots. It requires a Macromedia Shockwave plug-in.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: metal ferrule

Wow! You must have a big break as it is then or maybe there was a defect in the shaft or a mistake was made when the tip was put on. I have a big break, broke a cue ball in half and shattered a 1 ball on the break. But I have yet to break a shaft or a phenolic tip on the break. If I could suggest, Jacoby Custom Cues jump break. Dave warranties all his cues against defects. Even in the case of his break cues knowing that they are used under extreme force.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: metal ferrule

Buy a Mace. They are far and above the best. Spend the money and get the right tool for the job. The only thing that breaks on the Mace's are the plastic butt cap.

I have personally seen the same guy go through 3 of the Jacoby break cues. He finally got smart and sold it in an auction on Azbilliards. Good thing he has a warranty or you might be out money before you want.

I hit the balls fairly hard. Upper 20's when I want to have and have even been in the 30's. The Mace holds up with no issues. Ask Lee Heuwagon, I believe his has seen 32 mph.

Spend the $330 and buy the best, you won't be disappointed.
