I have been away from Det 3 for almost three years now, so I'm probably going to be of little value to you. I can tell you that while I commanded there, the only civilians we ever had accompany us were journalists like Mr Swift, or US Government officials like former Vermont Governor Howard Dean. I don't believe you would be allowed to participate, despite your commendable desire to do so. I would recommend you contact the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command @ www.jpac.pacom.mil.
