When I found Ashley's Dream and read through everything, I was so touched. I send my tears and prayers to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

I saw your billboard years ago and went to your website. I saved the article & your letter to Ashley for when it was time for my children to drive. I've read this to them several times. My heart and prayers go out to your family. It is unimaginable what you have gone through. I am sure Ashley is smiling down on you and your family for how much good came out of such a horrible tragedy.

I worked with Dave at Kmart and will never forget this story. I saw the billboard tonight on US 23 near Brighton and I right away new this was Dave's daughter. I drive this stretch often and know that this billboard is new. I had my three young boys in the car with me and it was a great teaching tool for them. I did not have children when this accident occcured but I now realize the pain the parents must have felt. Kudos to Dave for keeping the memory of his daughter alive - I hope the conversation with my boys will teach them a lesson. I told them about Ashley's dreams and how she was never able to live them because of one foolish person. Prayers to the Easterbrook family and thanks for reminding everyone the consequences of drinking and driving.

As I was driving to work this morning, I looked up to see the Ashley's Dream billboard. Instantly my eyes watered and chills ran through my body. I was a sophomore at Troy High the year this tragic accident happened. I was a student trainer and many days it was me who taped up Ashley's elbow before practice or event.
Instantly the memories of that saddened time swept over me as I continued my drive in. I cry at my desk as I read all of the articles from that night. I pray for the continued strength of the famililes.

Hi, my name is Ally. I'm a senior, and I live in Connecticut. I first heard about Ashley's story when I was in the career center in my high school looking up scholarships. My councilor handed me the information about Ashley's Dream, and she claimed that it would be perfect for me to apply to. I started reading through Ashley's story and about her life, and it brought tears to my eyes. I can't imagine what it is like losing someone you love so much. I kept reading through the scholarship information, and it started to bring chills and goose bumps to my body. I am the same type of person as Ashley. My goal in life is to become a nurse and help other people. I am a Girl Scout Silver award recipient and class secretary. Sophomore year, I organized a Breast Cancer Awareness project within my school. I volunteer and give back to the community as much as possible. Recently, this past January, I organized a fundraiser for the charity Ability Beyond Disability for my National Honor Society Project. It was a success! I tutor students as well. Along with this, I was chosen to be on the ALL FCIAC volleyball team and I am the captain of my swim team. In my sophomore year, I became a lifeguard and have been using my certifications throughout the last two summers. As I read about Ashley, I shared with the people around me how similar we were. Their faces dropped when they realized that Ashley and I are basically the same person. Although Ashley didn't live a long life, her accomplishments were huge and she benefited/impacted the lives of many people. That is the person I strive to be, I want to change the world in a positive manor. Ashley's story has saddened me. Her life shouldn't have been taken earl; she was a wonderful person. I will be applying for the scholarship by the end of the month. I wanted to say thank you for passing on Ashley's legacy because it is very inspiring, especially to young adults like me. R.I.P. Ashley.

My utmost condolences to all of your families. As family of a DUI'd driver, allow me to add that their failed decision ruins our lives as well as the victims'. We grieve and are saddled with vicarious guilt. Not saying that it is at all worse than the victims' pain, though. It's just a life-destroyer all around.

I have a quick question, though: Are you still able to place memorials for the 3 teens at that intersection? I certainly hope so, being such a large busy place. Maybe the adjacent property owners would 'sponsor' it? Good PR for them, good awareness for all. Also, where (if at all) were these teens interred? I ask only because wow...to pass away right next to your potential resting place (White Chapel) is just too much to wrap my head around.

Keep fighting the good fight in Ashley's name! May her bright, positive influence remain eternally.

Your daughter was such a beautiful person. All mothers wish their children to be just like Ashley! You have done a wonderful thing in her memory...
I only have one son and it would devistate me to lose him. It's going to be hard enough when he leaves for college; but I've been cutting apron strings all year long-trying to prepare myself. He's ready to fly & I want him to...
thanks for helping other children who need help![:)s

It saddens me to know I work at a company that recieves huge income from the sale of booze. While the staff does as best it can in detecting those who are drunk before they can leave the property the reality is there must be those who escape our detection and are driving drunk. I think it should be mandatory for all places that sell drinks to perform a breathalyzer on EVERYONE that oders those drinks. I was shot down once when I mentioned this something about the legal issues of searching or other crap.

WOW! I read the story and cant believe this. I know it happens all to often. I personally dont drink...but I couldnt imagine getting behind the wheel if I did drink. I used to party in college....but not ever ever drive. I can only imagine the heartbreak and pain, as this has never happened to me. I have lost friends, real close ones, to car accidents but never drunk driving. My heart goes out to you 3 families......and the countless others that something like this has affected.

I read through the articles on your website. Keep up the good work. You are doing a wonderful thing to honor the memory of your daughter.
Even though time has passed, I'm sure that it is still a difficult time for you. May you find peace..."Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6,7

I was driving home from work one night and glanced over at a beautiful girl on a billboard. Curious as to what it was about, I got home at approximately 1:00am and went straight to the computer. I began to navigate through the site and became sad. Ashley was very young and had many hopes and dreams and a passion for helping others. Her life was taken to soon. Yet her spirit lives on in the hearts and lives of many. Her story and the story of her friends who were also lost that night may make drinkers think twice before placing their key in the ignition. I would hope that several lives have been saved through the foundation advertisement that may have ended the same way as Ashley's and her friends. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I felt that much closer to this young women who I had never met, reading that she wanted to become an RN. It takes a special person to be in healthcare and I am sure Ashley would have excelled as an RN as she did in many things in her time. I am praying for your family and thank you for all of your work through education in the prevention and dangers of drunk driving and the consequences of bad decisions. May God continue to bless and hold you and may the legacy of Ashley continue to be in the hearts of all who knew her and all who have met her through this site. I truly feel honored to have seen the billboard and to have met Ashley through your stories on this site.

I saw your billboard on my way home from the airport today. I am very sorry for your loss. It really opens up my eyes to being a responsible adult when I venture out with friends or family. Ashley was a beautiful woman. I know she is watching over you and proud for the work you are doing in her honor. Her life was taken too young but hopefully this website and her story will inspire others to make responsible choices when they consume alcohol. Its ok to have fun, but don't take anothers life in the process.

I just saw the billboard on my way home. My brother was friends with Mike and Drew and I always think about the accident when I'm drinking or if I see friends who want to drive. Thank you for getting the word out. I will always remember them and it was great to see the billboard and the impact you are making.

Not even a week ago I was speaking to my coworkers about the day Ashley passed and THS was so upset. As I drove to work this week, I see Ashley on the billboard and it shocked me in a sad but good way. In a good way, I knew that it was promoting something outstanding.. We have lost too many THS friends to Drunk Drivers! I wore Ashley's bracelet that was given to all classmates of Adam and also made sure everyone saw my red ribbon until I graduated from College. I love the billboard on the Lodge and want more!! We miss you!!!
