We are going to have a show Saturday September 15th. Looing forward to seeing all of you then.

There will not be a show Saturday September 8th. But Judy does plan on starting back soon, hopefully next week, the 15th.

Ralph Cooper

CHILLICOTHE: After a long battle with cancer, Ralph Cooper, 73, went to be with his heavenly father at 1:16 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012. He was born to the late Oral and Bertha Gatten Cooper. On May 18, 1986, he married the former Judy Mendenhall **** who survives.

Also surviving are children, Regina (Rick) Mitten, Mark (Krystal) Cooper and Dawn (Bryan) Putnam; former wife, Lois McGarvey; grandchildren, Kendall and Jesse Mitten, Joshua Cooper, Annie (Tim) Lockwood, Ashli, Mickey, Alexis and Ameris Cooper and Tucker Putnam; great grandchildren, Cameron Jones and Dodge Dexter; a step daughter, Jackie Hill; step grandchildren, Larry Angus and Brandon Hill; step great grandchildren, Luke and Lexie Lockwood and Ryan Hill; sisters-in-law, Glenna (Dale) Cooper, Tina (Wayne) Cooper, Karen Dotson, Donna Park, Vanessa (Gary) Shoemaker, Laura (Monte) Arledge and Edna Legg; brothers-in-law, George (Peggy), Robert (Jane) and Joe (Susie) Mendenhall; and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ralph was predeceased by brothers, Wayne, Raymond and Dale Cooper; sisters, Eileen Vest and LaVon Dennewitz; a step daughter, Brenda Angus; and a step granddaughter, Amanda Edler.

In 1968, Ralph founded Cooper's Glass Service. He also previously worked at Kenworth Truck Company. Ralph is also the owner of the Paint Valley Jamboree. At one time, Ralph owned K-C Raceway with long-time friend, Dave Karshner. Ralph gave Jeff Gordon his first winning check. Ralph was known as the "Mayor of Lickskillet", where he was born and raised. He had the honor of being named an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. Ralph loved to play his upright bass in many bluegrass bands throughout the years. Ralph enjoyed helping and being around people. He had a deep love for his family, friends and raising his miniature donkeys. He strived to work hard and took pride in all that he did.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jeremy Hatfield and Reverend Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
