What is the title of your website:

Brothers of guss Thorne

I have recently discovered that my Grandfather Gus Thorne, possibly had two brothers killed in the 1st war. The names are on the Terrington St. Clement, Norfolk war memorial, mentioned on the Walpole parishes website. My parents are now all gone, so I have no means of validating the information. My mother was Dorothy Thorne. It might be of interest.

Paul Reynolds |

Dear all,

There must be some of you living in Wateringbury who went to school there in the 1950\'s. It would be marvellous to see some photos of those of us pupils from Wateringbury CofE School from that time. Please search your lofts, cellars, sheds, garages, barns, anywhere you might have some or even one photo.

I visit Wateringbury at least once a year and re-live my childhood. Days long gone but not forgotten.

THanks,

Nick Bond

My family history shows my ancestors lived at 5 Wateringbury Street (now the Tonbridge Road)and there are \"Ongley\'s\" buried in the churchyard. Has anybody got anymore information.. Also we have visited the grave of Arthur Fisher Ongley formerly of Wateringbury buried in Calais - died of injuries in 1915

Hello John,

I wonder if you can help. I moved to Wateringbury just over a year ago into Mill Lane House, Mill Lane. I have been researching the history of the house and have found various snippets of information in the various booklets that have been published on Wateringbury.

I have also very much enjoyed reading through the blog posts on Wateringbury remembered and have found a reference to Mill Lane House from Nick Bond who used to live in the house in the 50s. I have been put in touch with Nick but alas he did not have any photographs of the house.

Do you know of the existence of any photographs of Mill Lane House?

Many thanks,

Lucy Goodwin

Found some photos with query about the footbridge at Wateringbury. My father was Station Master from 1956-1960 .When we arrived there was no footbridge but it had been there for a year or two when we left so would suggest it was 58 or 59. regards Anne s,

Does anyone have any information on Latter\'s Buildings, I know they were once farm cottages. Would like to know who built them and who funded them.

Hi, I am interested to find out more about Mill Lane House, 7 Mill Lane. I understand it was once a coach house and stables - I wonder if anyone has any more information about its history, or any photographs of it when it was still a stables and coach house? Is it the same Mill Lane House referred to in this post?
Many thanks
Lucy
