Reunion Hotel information

The forth reunion of the VO-67 squadron will take place in San Diego California on June 30 through July 3, 2005. Our reunion hotel, The Red Lion Hanalei is an outstanding facility with a beautiful tropical setting. The hotel has 416 spacious guest rooms a business center, large heated pool, whirlpool spa, in-house massage, outstanding restaurants, lounges, waterfalls, tropical trees, and lots of KOI fish ponds.
The reunion committee has blocked 50 rooms for the reunion. We can add more as they are needed. As in the last reunions the rooms went fast so make sure you reserve soon. We will add more when needed. You can cancel up to a month before the reunion with no penalty. The special room rates are $ 108.00 per night. These rates are available to the VO-67 group several days before and after the reunion if you want to come early and stay late. We were told to book early as rooms go fast for that weekend.
Please try to plan your arrival by Thursday. The hospitality room will be open with lots of snacks and beverages. The reunion committee will be presenting the famous Hanalei “Chocolate Volcano” on Thursday afternoon with chocolate cascading down a fountain with lots of pineapple, honey dew, cantaloupe, strawberries, brownies, waffles and marshmallows for dipping. Sounds like great messy fun. Remember all the kids and grandkids are welcome at all our activities. The hospitality suite is located at ground level next to the pool. The reunion will be providing transportation Friday morning to visit the most famous ship in the fleet. The USS Milius will be open for a special tour by the VO-67 reunion participants. The reunion banquet will be held Saturday evening and lots of surprises are in store. The VO-67 Association business meeting will be held Saturday morning. The reunion committee will be sending out the official registration forms soon. We will have new hats and shirts for this special reunion.
