Passing of CDR John E Lynch Jr. Crew MR12

To all Members of VO67

I am writing to let you know of John's passing on November 27, 2009. He was diagnosed in September 2009 with advanced lung cancer, he under went treatment but the cancer was to far advanced. He served in the Navy for 23 years before retiring in 1978.
His service with the VO67 and it's accomplishments where never fully known by the family until after his passing, needless to say, it is inspiring to uncover the history and service of the squadron. Performing selfless acts of courage to save others. Dad lived his life that way, giving to those around him and never focusing on himself or his accomplishments.
Dad's greatest accomplishment was his marriage to Linda of 46 years. His actions as a husband and father spoke louder than his words.

Services for Dad will be held 10am December 11, 2009 at:
Our Lady of the Sierra Catholic Church
Oakhurst, California

Please let CDR Koci and the Crew of MR12 know of his passing.

Sincerly,
Joe Lynch
