Had a bit of a stressful evening yesterday, took the family to Mushrif Mall for some dinner and to let the kids burn off some energy, came back out to the carpark and my 530i was completely dead. No lights, no dash, absolutely nothing when I turned the key. I'm usually pretty prepared for things but this caught me totally off guard, it was getting late and I had two tired kids with me getting grumpy. Started scrambling on my phone trying to find somewhere that might still be willing to come out, most places were either closed or said they couldn't make it until morning. Finally got through to a guy who actually answered and listened to what had happened, he said they could send someone out right away for an emergency BMW battery installation in Abu Dhabi and even asked if I needed help with the registration coding so the car wouldn't throw errors afterwards. Honestly felt like a total lifesaver, the technician showed up within 45 minutes, swapped the battery in the parking lot, coded it in, and had the car running again like nothing happened. Cost a bit more than I probably would have paid during business hours but considering the situation and my kids falling asleep in the car waiting, absolutely worth every fils. Anyone else been through something similar? Definitely keeping that number saved for next time.
