Re: Rag man

Believe it or not I remember getting a day old chick from the ragman for some rags , but sadly it died a few days later.
Happy New Year to all Rushlighters.

Re: Rag man

I remember the wee chicks.. but they never lived beyond a few days. How lucky were we then our parents would quietly dispose of these impossible pets and substitute it with a completely different interest. Like being taken out to Fuscos or Malachy Morgans for ice cream and icecream sodas.

Re: Rag man

Do you remember the wee Windmills the rag man use to give the kids for rags.?.... funny enough kids today can still be seen with the same wee windmills, they are one little toy that hasn't changed.

Re: Rag man

Do any of you remember Geordie Finn the Whiterock rag man , God Rest Him, he was one decent man.

Re: Rag man

Yes and the famous Dinny Hamilton,a great old stick,
I think he lives in Ballymurphy now.
