I have recently left the Armed Forces after 23years service in the Pipes & Drums. I initially spent 15yrs with 1st Bn The Royal Highland Fusiliers and since 2009, served with The 1st Bn Scots Guards. I finished my time as Pipe SGT and am missing it already. I am moved BV to the Nottinghamshire area as that is where my wife is originally from and have been looking for a Pipe Band to join in the area in order to continue with my Piping. I would be most grateful if possible give more information on practice location etc in order that I could pop along and introduce myself in person. Regards, Alex Gordon |

Just posting with the sad news that my Dad, Pete Lockyer passed away on February 2nd, he loved his days with the band and enjoyed some good friendships and competed very successfully with the band in many competitions. |

Many happy memories of Beeston Pipe band since I was very young, instilled a love of pipe bands and pride in my heritage. Due to that, im now taking the step to try learn side drum at the age of 45 with Wolverhampton. Lost touch with my uncle Bill Livingstone and cousin Chris Livingstone but would love to get in contact again. paul_livingstone@rocketmail.com All the best for the future to all concerned with the band |

Thanks for the info on the drum salute - checked it out on YouTube and it sounds brilliant. Especially love the out-takes at the beginning and Chris's cheeky smile |
