I found a picture of Crew 10 hanging in our Reserve Center in St. Louis and decided to look into the history of the squadron. Very interesting story. Thank you for your service to our country.

Would like to know if anyone from Crew 10 would be willing to share their contact information. I would like to speak to the two Chief Petty Officers of the crew if that would be possible.

I was a USAF Aircraft Engine Mechanic at NKP 67-68. VO-67 shared part of our engine shop. I lived in the AF hooch next to the VO-67 area. Great site. The stories and pictures brought back memories and filled in some blanks about the squadron\'s service. There were a lot of secrets there. Contrats on the Pres. Unit Citation - well deserved.

I was ships company with VP31 where the planes and crews were being readied. I remember well the day crew 2 went down, then 5. They were sad days around the squadron. We got to know some of you guys before you left. I flew radio and it gave me pause every time I boarde a plane after that. My hats off to you guys and our prayers are with those who died. There is a model on this site dedicated to the memory of crew 2 I post it here for those who would like to have one. I helped as a consultant in the design and receive no compensation for the small fee they charge. For me it was a labor of love. http://www.ecardmodels.com/index.php/1-48-op-2e-neptune-us-navy-repaint-mr-2-bu.html. I remember all today, Memorial Day and will til I die. God bless

I was a radio instructor in VP-31 when VO-67 disbanded and some members joined us. I remember having some beers with a VO-67 person who, I think, was a radio operator student in VP-31 at the time (I was an instructor). Some VO-67 aircraft were parked on our ramp for a few days at that time - very weird looking, but we weren\'t allowed to get close to them. Kudos to all the brave VO-67 folks!

Dedication
Down in Laos is dedicated to:

 the US military chaplains who serve
the Armed Forces of the United States, and to,

 the 20 crewmen from crews Two, Five, and Seven
of US Naval Air Force Observation Squadron 67 (VO-67)
who were killed in action in 1968, and to,

 all American servicemen,
especially US Navy and Air Force pilots,
who lived the hell on earth of prisoners of war
during the Vietnam War.

Reference is made to Operation Igloo White in my forthcoming novel, Down in Laos, A Story of Inspiration during the Vietnam War. I was so moved by the story of VO-67 which I was aware of in 1968 that I chose to dedicate my novel to your squadron mates. Frank Partel October 26, 2013

My brother Garry Boyle was navigator with Crew 4 and shows up on pages 9-10 of the Cruisebook. Garry shared many personal stories of his time at NKP. I get choked up when I read these stories and the sacrifices made by so many of the crews.

I was on the recovery team that recovered the OP-2E of Crew 2 in Laos. Just checking in on the website. It\'s been awhile since I have and it\'s a great site. It was an honor to be able to help bring Crew 2 home.
